About the Inaugural
South Padre Island Half Marathon and 10K!
Join Loco Running Events for the inaugural South Padre Island Half Marathon! Enjoy 13.1 beautiful miles of beach and get your run on! We'll have fun & music and a post-run celebration that won't disappoint! Schlitterbahn Resort will be hosting our Pre-Race Expo and packet pick-up and our Rooftop After-party! Make a weekend out of it with Loco Running EVENTS.-crazy fun running events! The race will be officially timed for 3 hours.

The first 600 people to register for this event will receive a raffle ticket for drawings for Apparel & Fitness Items.

COURSE MAP/event AREA
The area is reserved FOR the majority of the day so there is no time limit to complete the course, but it will ONLY be officially timed for 3 hours. We will begin the awards ceremony at 10:30am. Our post-run party will include Live Music, Drinks, FOod, swimming, & More! All Runners who cross the finish line will receive a Loco finisher's Medal. Pre-Race Expo & Pick-Up will be hosted at Schlitterbahns Resort in the Hibiscus Room on 5/31 from 12-6.

Please Note: -We will offer Race Day Registration but this must be done by 6:15am. Race will begin at 7am Sharp to avoid the summer heat.
Course will start & end near The Schlitterbahn Resort
The course is primarily flat and a very scenic beach terrain, and our meeting area is a great place to socialize and listen to some great music! Goody bags and time chip/bibs will be distributed at our 05/31 Packet Pick-Up.

We are pleased to offer the following accommodations for our event:
Room rates will be offered for standard room accommodations beginning at $159.00, plus tax. An additional $25.00 per person, per day, Stay-and-Play fee will be added to room stays during the Monday – Sunday time frame.
RESERVATION METHOD:
Registered Runners can contact the Resort directly.
Free parking will be included for all resort Guests.
Direct reservations may be made by race participants, upon completion of an executed agreement, by phone to 956.761.1160. Schlitterbahn Beach Resort will extend the agreed upon rate on all standard room reservations made that conform to the parameters of the agreement by Loco Running EVENTS and individuals reserving their own accommodations.
EARLY DEPARTURE FEES
In the event a guest who has requested a room checks out prior to the guest’s reserved checkout date, that individual will be responsible for the early check-out fees. Guests wishing to avoid an early checkout fee should advise the Schlitterbahn Beach Resort at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay. The Schlitterbahn Beach Resort will inform members of our group of this potential charge upon check-in.
